Commonly Asked Questions

  1. Does booking an appointment guarantee representation?

No. Booking an appointment does not establish an attorney–client relationship. Representation is offered only after consultation, mutual agreement, a signed contract, and receipt of payment.

  2. Do you take cases on contingency?

Personal injury matters are handled under a separate contingency agreement when accepted. All other matters are billed on a structured hourly basis with an advance retainer deposit.

  3. What documents should I submit prior to my consultation?

Relevant contracts, leases, court filings, correspondence, and any written agreements related to your matter. The more complete the documentation, the more productive the consultation will be. After your appointment has been confirmed, our office will provide you with any specific documents related to your case that we need.

  4. I need representation right away. Can you take my case?

If you have an upcoming court date or deadline, you should disclose this when contacting our office. We will require a consultation for all new matters to properly assess the facts and whether we can accept your case. A consultation must first be requested to our office and scheduled appropriately. Please view Our Approach page to learn more about how we work.

  5. Can you answer a few questions over the phone about my case before I schedule an appointment?

We are happy to answer questions about our law firm, our process, and consultations in general. However, no specific legal advice by the attorney about your case can be given outside of a scheduled consultation or an established attorney–client relationship.

  6. Is the consultation fee applied towards legal representation?

No. Consultation fees compensate the attorney for professional time spent reviewing your matter and are separate from any future retainer deposit.

  7. What type of legal fees and billing structures do you have?

We bill on a structured hourly basis with an advance retainer deposit. The retainer amount depends on the scope and complexity of the matter and is discussed at the conclusion of a scheduled consultation.

  8. How do I schedule a consultation?

Consultations are requested through the online scheduler or by calling our office at (346) 627-2227. Appointment times selected are subject to final confirmation by our office. After your request is submitted, an invoice for the consultation fee will be issued. Your appointment is confirmed only after payment has been received.
